ever since I moved to the boathouse, time, mr einstein ...has became even more relative. an old friend of mine owns the boathouse. I didn't rent. wasn't invited. just crashed in and stayed there.

I don't really think he'd mind, I am the dream guest of anyone, cleaned...paid, scruffed, watered his cactus. everything about that boathouse was alive, kept alive.

how long has it been? I honestly have no idea. but life is good, nights are bearable these days. I could say that i have stopped looking forward to mornings. well ...not entirely. I will always treasure my morning coffee with miss Dolly. talking to her is like biting an apple, light ...fresh, just so fresh.

I have developed an occasional motion sickness, mostly when I'm in a public transportation veh...no, it's just taxies. I always attract those smelly, ...chatty, inconsiderate drivers. my liver, heart, lungs and most of my vital organs are squashed up my throat ...with every one of the sudden stops, ah, just every time.

plenty, is happening. hardest thing about life is living, and everyone's a star. almost every thing I hear, think about or say is a replica of some film, a good movie that I don't seem to remember its title. I also realized I'm quieter than I have ever been, my whole life.

I go back home to an open, dimly lit bedroom, a small space ...not really a kitchenette ...or a living room. yes, there's a bathroom, so I can't really complain. it's not a boathouse per se ...but it fits the description.

I kinda miss having neighbors. I have what you might call "episodic neighbors" they appear with your calendar vacations. or with the change of weather ...or just appear for no reason. would be nice to have someone around here, a regular resident. but what to do.

I'm looking for an apartment these days. a reasonably good place here would probably cost a 2,000 USD. I can do it, but ...I'll wait for the old friend to come back, so much to say. and as Long as the unstable state of the boathouse sync beautifully with my core I think ima hang around for a bit longer.

Two months ago, I married the prayer crier, or whatever that is called (Sorry honey) We first met at Virgin Megastore, it was bad taste at first purchase.

I always go there just to look around, and end up buying something(s) I bought two Pink Martini albums, Sympatique and Splendor in the Grass.

He did too.

He teaches Islamics at the boys elementary school. Islamics? I always walk on him humming something. It's a familiar tone, but he won't say what it was.

We recently moved to the mosque house. The main gate is turquoise, the whole place is radiating white. It's cute for a house. Two cute bedrooms. Two cute bathrooms. A cute living room. And a distastefully cute kitchen. Just cute.

I hated the purity of the place. So I hanged a huge Marilyn Monroe poster on the wall. It gave me a sense of sanity. The poster turned out later to be Madonna's, I didn't care.

We lived on Kiri's cheese sandwiches and fruits. There still a whole bunch of dairy products we haven't tried yet.

I always feel uncomfortable walking in the backyard. Feels like I'm wandering a public property, not my own house.

I had just had a shower, and my hair was utterly ..never mind, that day, i knew a clip wouldn't hold it, so i didn't bother. you were holding a smile which annoyed me in a way you couldn't imagine. i'm not sure you remember me, we didn't talk at the time. your friend, the weird one .. who kept telling us how she can predict the future, no wait .. she said she can "see" the future, she introduced us. we were supposed to go somewhere that evening, but you parted for god knows why. you had this paper bag beside you the whole time, scenarios started popping in my head, i didn't ask ... giving the fact you were texting someone the whole time. ~~i started thinking about Queen Elizabith, your queer looking printed tee shirt got me thinking about her,~~

if we did have the time, we could've shared a lame joke, i'm really terrible at telling jokes, but that's the funny thing about it. you would've also heard my ringing tone, i was expecting a call just after you left, it was one of the most beautiful songs ever performed. weird thing, we're waiting at the bus stop and the silence was deafening, apart from your friend, our weird friend. souless place, not a sound. well, the ad board on the building was addictive, a bit entertaining. remember it? everytime the color shifts our heads turn, i don't remember what was it about...naah...

As far as I can remember, I've always had this shadowing feeling of being unwelcomed. Even with my school friends (sad, I know) but could be because am self conscious, tres self conscious!

Talking is intimate, I'm not an intimate person. It always feels like taking off my clothes. Liberating, I admit but a lot uncomfortable. Especially if you're in the wrong crowd.

Not to give anyone the credit, but I really stopped pouring trust into people, generally speaking. I can say that my trust list is somehow "limited."

My first encounter with Sir Hopkins was back in the 90s. He was Hannibal Lector. I was ..Myself. Yup, I was fascinated by the movie that every time I watched it, was as if I'm watching it for the first time. Mostly, I liked Jodi Foster's character, very intriguing.

جملة ستظهر لك في وسط شاشة لا سوداء كما هي العادة, بل زاهية الألوان, شاشة مبهرجة أقرب لمسرح دمى متحركة أو حتى كرّاس رسم يعود لطفل لم يتجاوز الخمس سنوات, ترافقها عادة (إن لم يكن دوماً) موسيقى لاتينية ستشد انتباهك لا محالة. هي جملة تترك (و ستترك دوماً) لدي شعوراً لا تخلّفه العديد من الجُمل الإفتتاحية للأفلام. لأسباب عديدة. أجد في أفلام بيدرو شيئاً يميزه عن العديدين, رغم تناوله (الدائم) للكثير من المواضيع التي قد لا أجد عادة سهولة في هضمها و منها الشذوذ الجنسي و مشاهد العريّ المسهبه, لكني رغم كل شي أجد كماً كبيراً من الشاعرية في طرحه لتلك المواضيع و غيرها

منذ فترة قريبة حظيت بفرصة مشاهدة آخر أعمال ألمودوفار "لوس أبرازوس روتوس" أو عناقات مكسورة. رغم محاولاتي الفاشلة بعدم الإقتراب من أي مقالات أو مراجعات عن الفلم إلا أنني قرأت عدداً منها لكن بعد مشاهدتي للفلم لم أجد الصلة بين تلك المقالات و الفلم الذي شاهدته للتو. لسبب أو لآخر لم تفضِ أي مقالة بالكثير. أتذكر منها أن الكاتب قال أن الفلم كان يمثل امتنان بيدرو لفن السينما بل شبه الفلم بقصة الحب القديمة التي تجمع الاثنين, بيدرو و السينما, خصوصاً لمن تابع أفلام بيدرو سيلاحظ وجوهاً نسائية كثيرة يختارها المخرج لتظهر في أفلامه دائماً, ما عزّز لدي هذه الفكرة فقد كان ذلك كنوع من الشكر (ربما) أو العرفان لهن

كيف سيكون عالمك لو فقدت الرؤية؟ هل سيكون بقاءك على قيد الحياة دون بصر "حياه"؟ أعرف الاجابة عن هذا السؤال و أعرف سرب التفاؤل الذي سيغطي تماماً على سؤالي, و لكني و رغم اعترافي بسطحيتي ناحية الموضوع فأنا للآن لا أعرف كيف يتأقلم الإنسان مع هكذا خسارة, (شجاعه لا أمتلكها) كوني كائنٌ مرئي يتمحور عالمه حول القراءة و الرسم و السينما و الوجوه و المشاوير الغير معنونه و أمور كثيرة أخرى لها علاقة بقناعاتي. الشخصية الرئيسية هنا في الفلم مخرج سينمائي يفقد بصره في حادث سيارة, و بمساعدة صديقة له يتمكن ببطئ من معايشة وضعه. لا أعلم لمَ شككت في أنه أعمى, حتى بعد نهاية الفلم خُـيِّل إلي أنه ابتكر العمى ليهرب من شيء أو أحد ما, كان وجهه المريب يدفعني للتساؤل

بداية هذا الفلم اختلفت قليلاً عما تعودته في أفلام بيدرو. حيث يبدأ الفلم بموسيقى هادئة و مشهد افتتاحي منظّم لوجوه كثيرة تظهر ثم تختفي أمام كاميرا في ما يشبه تجارب الأداء (الكاستنج) لترى بعد ذلك وجهاً مألوفاً, بطلة القصة "لينا" أو بينيلوبي كروز, تعود لتختفي مرة أخرى حتى تتذكرها احدى شخصيات القصة و كمعظم أفلام ألمودوفار عليك المحافظة على ذاكرة عريضة لتربط شريط الأحداث و الشخصيات لأنها غالباً ما تأتي مبعثرة ما بين سنوات مضت و شخصيات تظهر ثم تختفي. لا أريد الخوض في تفاصيل قصة الفلم, لأنها من القصص التي لا تلخّص بكلمات مفهومة و إن استطعت فلن تتمكن من ذلك دون شرح و هذا الشرح سيعبث بمشاهدتك للفلم لاحقاً

قد لا أبالغ إن قلت أنني طوّرت رد فعل "بافلوفي" على أفلام ألمودوفار, و أرجو ألا يتبادر لذهنك سيلٌ من اللعاب! بل هو توقع مسبق بعمل فني متكامل من نواحٍ عديدة, أعترف أن عناقات مكسورة لم يكن بقوة "تحدّث معها" أو "كل شيء عن أمي" إلا آنه فلم يستحق المشاهده خصوصاً لمخرج قليل التواجد كألمودوفار

لابد أن أعترف أن لـ بيدرو أحياناً "شطحات" تذكرني دائماً بمسلسلات الدراما الاتينية الطويلة, تلك المشاهد حين يكتشف البطل أن أباه الحقيقي هو عدوه اللدود الذي لازال يحب أمه ..أو تلك المشاهد التي لا أجد لها وصفاً منصفاً سوى لملئ الدقائق, لا أدري

عناقات مكسورة كان دراما رومنسية (إن صح التعبير) محبوكة, دون التأكيد على أنني استمتعت (جداً) بمشاهدته

I have a confession to make: I love this expression.

when you plan (it's a need i'd say) on watcing a romantic comedy, i bet you can predict what's coming. you recognize both the boy and the girl, you laugh at times 'cause it's funney, get frustraited about 20 miutes before the movie ends, because for some reason he didn't tell her something, or because she kissed a guy on the cheecks and he watched her from across the street ..or god knows what! and at the end, you just indulge in an euphoric sensation following a grand, happy ending.

.. No? well i think i was close.

watching "los lunes al sol" i couldn't really find a pattern. the whole movie follows the lives of four unemplyed, or rather four laid off workers. their disappointments in life, ther daily meetings in their friend's small bar,

at times i thought it was increadibly boaring, slow paced. but i was startled by the amount of reality, the characters were ferociously genuine, people can always find something to relate to in this film.

i've never heard of this movie, (have you?) let alone its title "mondays in the sun" their endless weekend. working, there's always the hope of something better. but when that is lost, these men lost their only way of delying everything. fears of abandon, death, lost dreams all came up.

i have to admit that, one of the reasons i watched this film was the always delightful javer bardem. if you needed another reason, then it's good cinema.

i just got out of a very abusive relationship, myself was the bad guy. it was heavy, ugly, and almost unbarable. throughout my four years of school i owned only two mobile phones, both were Nokia, people suggested that i should try other brands but i was sticked with Nokia. needless to say, my ex-Nokia is resting in peace, it just had to be pulled out of service.

i have to admit that am not exactly a phone person, 40 minutes is still my world record for the longest call i ever made, i'm not obsessed with SMSing, and by the time i started getting messeges that began with "سألت الروح.." i started telling people my phone doesn't read arabic, or reply "ana mob rylech!" as in am not your hubby, it's good to be remembered but i really hate these, honestly prefer when a person send me mere, spontanous things

back to LG, and that's for life is good? :/ rebounds are suppose to be just for the time being, never dwell, just use and trash. well, i got this one because i haven't, at that time, made up my mind about what phone to buy, so i got this one, a temp. and if you're wondering that's Benicio Del Toro as Che Guevara, loveable! about the only thing i like about it.

i call and 1o seconds later discover that the person on the other line is waiting for my "hello!" and vice versa, camera is crap, alarm clock is crap, it's a long shot but it might actually work as a music player, sometimes i delete something and find it there next time. did i mention the camera is crap?

iPhones are ridicilous and very breakable, BlueBerrys are blocks big to be called "phones," and Vertu is out of the question, am asking bcause i need a new phone in the first place, and preferably a phone plus something, like a phone with a really awesome camera 6 mega pixels or more, or a phone that is more a music player that a regular phone. any help is appreciated.

نعود للفيلم, بصراحه لم أقع في حبه لم أنبهر لم أتأثر كثيراً, لم أكن على حافة الكرسي
و للامانه لم أكن على أي كرسي لكن بكلمات أخرى,
لم يعجبني كثيراً

كل ما كان يجول في ذهني حين بدأت المشاهدة هو كيف يبدو شكل الشخصية الرئيسية

عندما كان طفلاًو كيف سيموت, أي بأي سن أو هل سيظل يعود به الزمن حتى يختفي أم .. أم .. و أم؟
و كل هذه تساؤلات "عبيطه" ربما لم يكن من المفروض وجودها في بادئ الأمر
لكن هذا ما جرى

كذلك لم أفهم سبب ذكر تلك القصة السخيفه عن السّاعاتي الذي
صنع ساعة عقاربها تعود للوراء, أملاً أن يعود ابنه للحياه بعد أن مات في الحرب
قد تكون السبب وراء كل هذه المعاناة رغم أني لم ألحظ وجود الرابط بين القصه و الأحداث

لكن و على الرغم من كل شيء
! تظل سخيفه

من الناحية الفنية كان جيداً
الاضاءة و اللقطات و المؤثرات الخاصة و الماكياج كلها كانت جيدة, لا اعتراض
الفكرة موجودة و أعني فكرة ماذا لو يعود الزمن بالإنسان للوراء, لكن مشكلة السيد

أن الزمن لم يتوقف عن العودة ليكمل حياته كإنسان طبيعي
بل أصبحت مرحلة الشباب هي النهايه

قد أكون قسوّت على الفيلم قليلاً لكن هذا ما رأيته و برأيي أن الممثلين فيه لا يستحقون أي ثناء كان, فقد كان الفيلم فارغاً
افتقد شيئاً ما, عنصراً مهماً, كوجوه خضعت لعمليات جراحية حتى فقدت انسانيتها
شعرت بأنني أشاهد فيلم خيال علمي لا يمت لي "كإنسانه" أي صلة

فيلم لن يظل في البال طويلاً

yesterday, on the way back home, i was sitting in the car's back seat, we stopped as it gone red, i looked from the window to the sidewalk and wished i was that guy in shorts and flip flops, big keshah, care free, holding nothing but a strawberry ice-cream, and an ipod with its headphones dangling to his knees. today, i was the guy in shorts and flip flops, i hated my keshah, my playlists and not finding a can to trash the ice-cream, and wished i was the reckless girl sitting in the back seat.

Your pencils are creating a health hazard. I could fall and pierce an organ.

get a fake tattoo. (April 15)

we used black henna and it actually worked,

i was thinking more like Angelina Jolie kind of tattos,

but turns out that it's not that easy :D

so i did the fernando torres's nine, on my left shoulder

a question,

cook something Mexican. (April 17)
it was friday, and i was in the mood,
so the first thing to do before you cook anything

is actually figuring out what to cook,

i spent about an hour, looking through mexican recipes,
and boy, do they love meat and chillies!

ok, finally chose, "enchilada"

umm ..it's like, really spicey rolls covered in sauce and cheese

really easy to make, and don't taste bad either

it came out somehing like this:

here's how it's done:

a) yank off, gently, a big mirror off the wall,
b) sit tight, and keep one expression on,
c) mess up the dimensions,
d) and you're done !

i did it on a proximately big board paper,
and i kind of messed it up,the eyes are displaced,
the face frame just looks wrong,
didn't quite like the outcome,
and i wouldve posted it except i didn't wanna scare people off :D

this one is related to somethings in my head,
i had access to ALOTTA of medical documents that
i started seeing things,
so i went there, got cancelled,
and you'd think you'll get the cancelation call, ..didn't happen.

ok, here's the thing
for someone who can't actually ride a bicycle, hates unstable grounds, and who's balance challanged,
skateboard isn't their best friend

the whole skate board "experience" was fun, i fell alot, and by alot, i mean every time i remember that am on a moving board, that i can't actually pull the breaks, that am falling no matter what,

anyways, i kept falling, ..falling and falling! now i can ride it without falling off which is quite an achievement,maybe next time we'll try the back flip q:

and it's ok to scream, laugh, and scream again!
one last thing, it's really fun once you get the hang of it,once you get the hang of it! :D
