~ Memoria de mis putas tristes

I happen to be a HUGE 'Gabriel Garcia Marquez' fan, the Colombian genius,
so you might be hearing about him a lot, so bare with me :)
his writings can't be described but beautiful, my favorite is 'love in the time of cholera'

'ذاكرة غانياتي الحزينات ' was his last published novel, about 103 pages
there's a possibility that you might hate it, umm.. be 'nauseated' by it may be,
but if you understood the man in the novel,
where he comes from and get his empty, lonely life you might like it,
like I did, well I actually loved it,
but hey you can like it all you want :)
it's a sad story, filled with beautiful lines, small details,
written in a profound language
sometimes I think Marquez was talking about himself, as an older man,
how he and everythingelse around him changed,
I read the book in Arabic, since I won't be reading the original any time sooner
it was first published in 2004, and tbh, I really enjoyed every single page I read
it made e think about a lot of things, related to life, humans, age?
anyways, I chose this piece
the writer here talks through the main character, and
describes how the simplest things can get missed up while ageing

good read.
